Gabe's First Day Of Preschool...

Today was Gabe's first day of Preschool here in Washington. We are so grateful that he LOVED it and can't wait to go back. It was hard choosing a school when you don't know what schools are good or not, but we went with a Christian School and are very pleased with it so far.

Gabe's 4TH Birthday 9-11-08

Well, this year it was just our small little family celebrating Gabe's birthday. All day Gabe kept saying "when everyone gets here" I felt bad, but in the end he had a great birthday. He picked out his cake (ice cream of course) and was happy with the gifts he got, what more could you ask for. I guess living this Coast Guard life we need to get used to celebrating holidays and birthday's together as a small family...It will be hard, since the past 5 years we have had a BIG family to celebrate it all with...I am sure this experience will just make us a closer family in the end, plus the boys are easy to please (as long as dad is home).

Gabe's Soccer Clinic...

We have a soccer player everyone!!! Gabe just started his soccer clinic and loves it. Here are some pictures of our handsome little man...

Whatcom Falls...

While on one of our missions to find fun things to do in Bellingham, we came across Whatcom Falls. It has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Everyday we learn something new about Bellingham, and it makes us love it more and more.

Missing My Friends...

It has been a hard four months not being so close to my friends. I miss being able to see Steph everyday, I miss dinner nights with Jesse and Kala and I miss the family weekends with Mel and her family. I know that Mel and I will be friends until we are old and gray, it has been a given since High School. Kala and I will also be friends for a long time, Sam just loves her husband (who is also in the Coast Guard) so we will forever keep in touch with them. Steph's husband says it is rare for "Coastie Wives" to stay friends when they get transferred, but we have more than proved him wrong. The more time goes by, the stronger our friendship grows. No only is she great friends with me, but my Nana and Mom just love her too. It has been a hard obstacle to overcome not having them close by, but I am making it...my morning talks with Steph have not changed, she just can't walk over anymore. They all know how much I miss them and I am so grateful I was able to see them when I was in Cali. Some of these pictures are old, but I love them anyway...The ones that are new are the one of Mel and I with our kiddo's, the others are from our going away dinner back in April.
