Our Trip Back To California...

The boys and I recently took a trip back to California to visit my family. It was a LONG trip, but we had a lot of fun. I enjoyed seeing my friends and family, but I also realized how much I LOVE Washington. It was a my third time flying and to do it alone with two kids was quite an experience. Gabe enjoyed being Grandpa's side kick, everything Grandpa did Gabe was right beside him. The boys roasted hot dogs and made smores at Nana and Papa's. We did all we could do in 9 days, but when it was time to come back home we were more than ready. I had a great time, but there truly is no place like home.

Danny...Gabes Favorite Garbage Man...

For all of you who know about Gabe's love of Garbage trucks, I am sure you have heard of Danny. We hear about him all the time, he even named his bear from build a bear after him.

I recently went back to California and was on a mission to get a picture of Danny so everyone who has heard about him but does not know him, can put a face with the name, so here you go...

Daddy's New Boat...

Our move to Bellingham brought a lot of changes. The one the boys enjoy the most is Daddy's new boat. The hardest change to get used to has been Sam being gone so much more. At our last unit we could get to see him when he was at work, here when he is at work he is GONE. He is away from us 2 weeks out of every month, for us that is hard. We are a really tight knit family that does everything together so this is quite a test for us. We have found that it is only making us stronger and the love that we have for each other is just growing stronger.

So Proud...

We all are so proud of Sam, there is no denying it. He is a loving father, great husband and my soul mate. Not only have I been blessed to be able to call him my husband, but I could never imagine my life without him. I can't express what a great feeling it is when you get to hear your son tell his father that he is his hero.
I was madly in love with Sam before our children were born, but once I saw him become a father the feeling I felt was indescribable. I always think that there is no way I could love him more than I do today, but the love just keeps growing. He is our provider, he puts clothes on our backs, food in our belly's and a roof over our head. He is a hard worker and he takes pride in his job. I am more than happy to say my husband is a Coastie. I know one day parent career day at school will come and the best part is Gabe and Cooper get to say there Daddy is a hero.

Our Little Fishermen...

Recently one of our great family friends came to visit. He and his wife live in Alaska and he is quite the outdoors man. We all decided to take the boys on there very first fishing trip. Gabe was so excited about his new Spiderman fishing pole he could not even sleep. We woke up early the next morning and were off to catch some fish. Unfortunately the fish Gods were not on our side that day, but we did get some great pictures. Not only have we had a great time with Joe, but we found a new hobby that Gabe truly enjoys and I'm sure Cooper will grow to.

Logging Show In Washington...

We have been to plenty of logging shows in our time, but the one that we went to here was amazing. The boys had such a great time and could not stop talking about Grandpa.

This was one of our first fun adventures that we had here in Bellingham. The best part of all

was the way they catered to the kids. They had so many fun things for the kids to do, like a gas powered cat that the kids could drive (alone). We could not get Gabe off, boy was he in heaven...

Looks like Grandpa will have a new employee...lol
